This team has a driving philosophy that:  

• incorporates important environmental issues with our learning programmes.  We follow the Environmental School’s philosophy which states; “We are the guardians of the planet, not the owner’s”.  We try to ensure our students understand and practice this idea.

This philosophy is achieved by:

•  following the Action Learning model which involves identifying current situations, exploring alternatives, taking action and then reflecting on changes made.

• The team expectations of their students is that they observe the 3 R’s at all times, and that responsibility for all their actions is broadened to include the wider Rotorua Community, the Bay of Plenty and beyond.  We expect our students to become life long learners who show respect and responsibility to their environment.
